It’s actually Sunday when I am writing this…I simply didn’t get to the post on Friday for various reasons.  I am getting busier with my blog writing business, so I find myself not being able to write about the fun things I enjoy as much.  Hopefully as I get more folks trained and get less writing off my shoulders, I can be more diligent about writing.

Today’s pose is Standing Bow Pulling Pose or Dandayamana-Dhanurasana. I feel like I am getting worse at this pose.  My knees limit me and my flexibility in my hips blows, so that also limits me.  I want to get better at it, but I find myself working on my endurance more than being able to get into the posture more.  And what I mean about focusing on the endurance is that I try to stay in the pose for the minute that is required.  That’s pretty tough for me still.  You’d want to think that wasn’t the case, but it is!!

Also, I remember when Bill was taking these photos, I was so tired from class, that I could not hold this postition for very long.

I don’t know if I have shared this before or not, but in the heart of my thyroid disease and in my early 20s I went to two Bikram yoga classes in a row.  I went to a 9am and it ended at 10:30am and then I stayed for the 11am.  It was wild, but I tell you, I was super flexible for that 11am class and it felt wonderful.  I think I ate a PowerBar in between or something.  Wonder if I could pull that off again.  The only problem is that they do not offer that 11am anymore…so there are no back to back classes anymore – other than the ones in the afternoons, which as you all know, are way to crowded for me!  Namaste.
