Okay, so maybe one of the benefits of evening yoga is that you aren’t as gassy as you are in the morning.  I’ve actually had weird digestive problems ever since I started doing Yoga regularly, which makes me wonder if I possibly am working things out.  Anyway, I had a lot of veggies for dinner last night and it was BRUTAL trying to make sure I didn’t embarass myself today by letting out any gas.  I know it might be gross to talk about, but seriously it was my focus of concentration today.

Today’s instructor was Aaron, who I usually tune out because he is so out of touch with practice, especially on how long to hold postures and some of the final breathing.  The final breathing actually takes a lot of practice with your diaphragm and this guy doesn’t have the practice so the final breathing that is faster gets all jacked up.

Today’s pose is Standing Head to Knee pose.  I am getting better at this one, but I usually only kick my foot out in the 90 minute classes because there are two rounds of the posture in that class, and I prefer not to hurt myself the other way.  This is one posture that I really hope to master come December.  I really like this posture.  It takes an incredible amount of endurance and strength and reminds me of Field Hockey in a way.  I think because of the strength and endurance that you have to have.  Oh, yes, many of you don’t know that Field Hockey is my favorite sport and I only wish that it was played here more consistently.

Here’s the side view.  I know that bologna spot is hot.  Stop.  I love how I don’t think that my knees are hyper-extending, but it is clear that it is here in this profile shot.

Oh, I forgot to mention the other day in the 4:30pm class there was this really hot yoga girl.  What makes for a hot yoga girl?  Well, for me, they are super toned, gorgeous in appearance (in the sense that they seem real and beautiful at the same time) and totally into their practice.  I was in awe.  Some day, my friends, some day.

I wanted to get recommendations from you all for yoga pants or tops that you like.  I don’t think I will bust out the tops any time soon, but I could probably use some new pants.  Oh, BTW,  one of my biggest fears is that my pants are going to split (the seam is right along my ass crack) and since I don’t wear underwear (gross maybe, but I wear the pants for 1-2 hours and then wash them immediately so no biggie) it would be REALLY embarassing.  It cannot happen!
