Day 17 – Not As Happy

Standing Separate Leg Stretching Pose

Standing Separate Leg Stretching Pose

I was not as happy today in class.  I really want to get to the point where I am excited about a 90-minute class because I have an opportunity to move deeper into the postures since we do all the Bikram yoga postures twice.  Instead, I was irritated and annoyed at things like my sports bra tugging at my neck.  My sports bra has the racer back thing.  So if anyone reading out there has a suggestion for a sports bra that isn’t racer back but supports, please leave a comment below.

Today’s instructor was Lisa.  I had a problem hearing what she was saying today, in other words, she wasn’t talking loud enough.  I find that mildly irritating when I am breathing in and out of my nose and cannot hear anyway.

Today’s photo is Standing Separate Leg Stretching pose.  Lisa actually helped me get into this pose deeper today.  Anyway, not as chatty today, so I will end it here.

    Racer Back Bra Options:

Greetings! I live in New Mexico and I’ve been following your new blog. I like your cute approach to Yoga.
As far as your razor back bra goes I have a razor back bra alternative.
I use older regular sports bras with the two that meet the back of the bra. I picked up the originals at walmart about two years ago.
Take a key ring, a regular old key ring like on your key chains, and thread the two straps through the ring affectively joining the two straps within the ring. The ring allows the straps to move when you’re in twisting postures and it keeps the straps from digging into the sides of your next b/c the straps are joined lower than traditional razor back bras.
If you’re short of key rings you can pick up several from your local hardware store for cheap.
I’ll be following your Yoga practice in the next few weeks and hopefully beyond.

    Good Luck, Namaste.

Thanks for the suggestions on the racer back bra options! That’s a very creative idea you have – have you ever thought of marketing it? I wanted to know if you had a photo of it, as I am not quite getting it. I cannot get a keyring on my bra unless I cut it!

      thanks, again!
