Well, sorta off to a good start.  This is the first time I have made the Monday morning class in some time.  It was easy because I totally wore myself out mowing my boyfriend’s house’s yard yesterday afternoon.  He’s been in Europe for two weeks and his lawn was not pretty!  It’s huge too, so it took me about 2.5 hours to mow – not fun – and even more not fun was the 3 ft. snake that came out of the grass!  I have seen snakes twice in my life in my city and it’s been in the past 3 years – I’m 31.  Very strange.  Scared the living daylights out of me.

Nonetheless, being out in the heat and mowing the lawn made me exhausted, so I had a nice evening watching TV and was able to relax – and take a break from all my blogging.

Anyway, the reason I said it was sorta a good start to the week is because I am leaving on Wednesday or Thursday to head to my parents’ lake house for the Fourth of July, so I will be making two more classes this week and then that’s it.

Today’s pose is Cobra Pose or Bhujangasana.  The first photo always reminds me of my thyroid disease because I can see that my thyroid is large (looks like I have an Adam’s Apple) and that is lop-sided.  But I seem to do OK in this pose and I think it’s because I have excellent strength in my lower back.  If anyone has any recommendations on this one, please let me know.

    You should try yoga poses made specifically to imrove the thyroid function; not sure if these poses can reduce thyroid size

      Do you have a source? A website that has that sort of thing? I just saw my Mayo doc last week and he told me that my thyroid had gone down in size.
