How’s that for a crotch shot?  Sorry, I couldn’t resist. 

I am really sick of how tight I am in the morning I want to losen up already.  I am not a fan of getting up any earlier – I already get up at 6am – which is sorta against my religion as it is.  So getting up any earlier is out of the question.  I just don’t want to go to the afternoon class.  But I always figure with the 90 minute classes that I will have more success getting into positions, but I don’t really.

Today there were only 5 cars in the parking lot when I pulled in, which means that there are only 3 people in class – because the other two cars belong to the instructor and the desk-checker-iner person.

But that soon changed.  3 or 4 more people walked right before class started.  One of them was that lady that breaths like Darth Vadar.  I really want to know if she has been trained in Bikram Yoga.  I do not know why she purposely breathes like Darth Vadar.  It drives me nuts and also makes me really weak because she sounds like she needs to get an inhaler for asthma.  I have sports induced asthma, so maybe that’s why I can relate.

Today’s pose is Fixed Firm Pose or Supta-Vaharasana.  I used to be a lot better at this.  Well, maybe not.  My back used to get all the way down to the floor, but only if my knees spread apart – which is not how this Bikram yoga pose is done.  Nonetheless, I feel stupid with where I can go in this pose at the moment and hope it improves. 

I do have a  gut feeling that one day this tightness is going to go away and I will be a master of disaster in all of these Bikram yoga postures.  Ah, the thrills of a good imagination.  Namaste.
